The eucrime.eu website is not only the platform belonging to the 'eucrim' quarterly (ISSN: 1863-6187, eISSN: 1862-6947). Published since 2006 – currently in the online-first model – it also contains entries from academics and experts regarding changes in criminal law and criminal procedure in European law and in the Member States. The news section organises and summarises current events regarding European criminal law in both a concise and systematic way. The focus is on fundamental developments and crimes that affect the legal interests of European citizens and the EU itself, such as crimes against the EC and the EU budget. The website also provides a search engine covering selected CJEU case law regarding interpretation of the provisions of EU substantive and procedural criminal law and compliance with community law of the provisions of Member State national laws. Metadata has been defined for each judgment in the form of: judgment reference number, parties to the proceedings, type of proceedings, name of the court requesting a preliminary ruling, keyword definition of the subject of the judgment or thesis related to the judgment, category definition in the form of a tag/descriptor, reference to scientific articles and posts on website entries relating to a given judgment, as well as links to the EUR-Lex website, if the full content of the application, opinion of the advocate general, judgment, opinion or decision is available there. It is possible to refine the judgments according to: composition (Grand Chamber and others), search indexes – year of issue, keywords ('By Foundation'), institution to which the judgment directly refers, scope of cooperation between EU member states in the fields of investigation and criminal proceedings (by cooperation), by type of crime and/or issues of criminal procedure. The subpage, CoE Ratifications, presents links, in a tabular format, to the criminal law-related conventions of the Council of Europe on its website (and reference to the European Treaty Series), along with a graphic designation of the countries that have ratified the conventions and the date of ratification.
