The journal "Migracijske i etničke teme" publishes scientific articles on migration, migration-related issues and demographic changes, together with articles on different aspects of ethnicity and identity in any international, national or cross-national context. Contributions reflect the theoretical advances and empirical analyses and studies within a broad range of disciplinary approaches. The international character of the journal is determined both by the themes of published articles and by the international composition of authors, reviewers and members of the editorial board.
The journal primarily publishes scientific papers, but also other contributions of scientific or professional interest: essays, professional papers, book reviews, notes on scientific meetings, etc.

Die Zeitschrift "Migracijske i etničke teme“ veröffentlicht wissenschaftliche Artikel zu Migration, migrationsbezogenen Themen und demografischen Veränderungen sowie Artikel zu verschiedenen Aspekten der ethnischen Zugehörigkeit und Identität in jedem internationalen, nationalen oder länderübergreifenden Kontext. Die Beiträge spiegeln die theoretischen Fortschritte und empirischen Analysen und Studien innerhalb eines breiten Spektrums disziplinärer Ansätze wider. Der internationale Charakter der Zeitschrift wird sowohl durch die Themen der veröffentlichten Artikel als auch durch die internationale Zusammensetzung der Autoren, Gutachter und Mitglieder des Herausgebergremiums bestimmt.
Die Zeitschrift veröffentlicht in erster Linie wissenschaftliche Arbeiten, aber auch andere Beiträge von wissenschaftlichem oder beruflichem Interesse: Essays, Fachartikel, Buchrezensionen, Notizen zu wissenschaftlichen Tagungen usw.
Auf der HRČAK-Plattform und im OJS-System ist eine vollständige Sammlung der Zeitschriftenausgabe unter CC BY-NC-Lizenz mit strukturierten Metadaten, Zusammenfassung und Schlüsselwörtern auf Kroatisch und/oder Englisch, Seitenbereich, permanentem Link und DOI-Kennung mit Pefix 10.11567/met (seit 2012)). W czasopiśmie "Migracijske i etničke teme” publikowane są artykuły naukowe na temat migracji, zagadnień z nimi związanych i zmian demograficznych, a także artykuły dotyczące różnych aspektów etniczności i tożsamości w dowolnym kontekście międzynarodowym, narodowym lub ponadnarodowym. O międzynarodowym charakterze czasopisma decyduje zarówno tematyka publikowanych artykułów, jak i międzynarodowy skład autorów, recenzentów i członków redakcji. W czasopiśmie publikowane są przede wszystkim artykuły naukowe, ale także inne publikacje o charakterze naukowym lub zawodowym: eseje, artykuły fachowe, recenzje książek, notatki ze spotkań naukowych itp.
